Intermediate Project Coordinator

  • Axiom is looking for an Intermediate Project Coordinator to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. This full-time role is stationed at our head office, with the successful candidate reporting to the VP of the environmental division. In this position, you will support the environmental management of projects, focusing on Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Site Investigations, and Project Management.Key Responsibilities Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute environmental projects, including field work and reporting activities.
  • Assist in project management leadership including technical direction, communication plan, resources
    management and execution of overall client initiative with an integrated team approach.
  • Completion of all project deliverables on schedule and budget as guided by the approved contract.
    Manage change in scope, schedule, risks, and costs against the project baseline.
  • Monitor and interact with project controls and associated reporting. (Gathering and distributing
    project information to the project team) Interface with the client regarding project status
    updates and expectations on a regular basis.
  • Follow safety, health, environmental and quality elements for the implementation of all components
    of the work.
  • Identify and manages risk and opportunities during project execution phase.
    Develop and provide project status updates as well as budgetary information and remediation plans
    where necessary.
  • Develop and coordinate overall project closeout.
  • Coordinate client meetings involving team members as appropriate.
  • Understanding the aims of the client in undertaking the project. Trying to identify next steps or other
    projects that would help achieve these aims. Develop proposals to help Clients reach their goals around
    this subject.
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in environmental projects such as Environmental Site Assessments, water monitoring,
  • and contaminated sites.
  • Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 50 lbs.
  • Proven understanding of projects controls systems, and cost control practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple small projects concurrently in a team environment.
  • Must be organized, willing to embrace change and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in environmental field work is an asset.
  • Adequate knowledge of regulatory frameworks regarding environmental proponents within SK, AB,
  • and BC.
