LiDAR
LiDAR, or Light Detection And Ranging, is a sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser in order to measure ranges (variable distances) to the Earth from various types of platforms. As such, it allows precise generation of three-dimensional information about specific areas or surfaces such as trees, buildings, and other infrastructure.

Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry works by obtaining images of the targeted point from as many positions and locations as possible. The Photogrammetry software uses data elicited from those images to create “point clouds”. Photogrammetry is best used in non-vegetated areas where the surface of interest is unobstructed from view, such as desert terrains or mining and earthwork projects.

UAV Magnetics & Helicopter-borne Gradiometry
Magnetic surveys are highly specialized geophysical surveys widely used in the mineral exploration industry to provide a detailed look into geological subsurface structure and to advance mineral exploration. We are experts in this field and employ several different types of UAV magnetometers to meet your projects technical needs.
For UAV magnetic surveys, we have both lightweight potassium and cesium vapour and magnetometers as well as a wide range of UAV’s to choose the right aircraft for the job.
For large surveys, or for where gradiometer data is advantageous, we also fly manned helicopters and provide gradient magnetic surveys with three specially designed potassium vapour magnetometers mounted in a triaxial array. The data from the three individual sensors allows us to measure the horizontal and vertical gradients of the magnetic field. Horizontal gradient measurements provide details about the lateral extent of subsurface anomalies located between survey lines. Vertical gradients can assist significantly in identifying geologic/ structural contacts and near-surface targets. Measuring these gradients directly is a significant advantage when compared to a single sensor of a conventional total field system.
Electromagnetic
Electromagnetic (EM) surveys evaluate changes in the conductivity of the ground. Whether it be frequency or time domain EM surveys, Axiom can facilitate several different EM survey options based on your project’s needs. This would include airborne, borehole and ground-based methods.

Ground Penetrating Radar
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a shallow looking, non-invasive, subsurface investigation technique capable of mapping interfaces in a cross-sectional format. GPR measures the propagation time of high frequency electromagnetic pulses that are reflected from interfaces between materials of different electrical properties.

Multispectral & Hyperspectral
Multispectral and Hyperspectral Imagery refers to images which contain color bands beyond the normal RGB values. These camera sensors can collect light waves that are beyond human eye perception and are processed into additional color bands contained as part of the aerial or satellite image.

Thermal
Thermal imaging captures thermal infrared light, which allows us to identify and quantify heat energy. By detecting this infrared light, it is possible to produce images, or heat maps, of how much heat energy is being released as waste into the atmosphere.
