Tanya Coetzee is the Vice President of Geophysics & Remote Sensing at Axiom Exploration Group, where she leads the strategic growth, technical direction, and global delivery of integrated geophysical and remote sensing solutions. Since joining Axiom in 2018, she has been instrumental in building the division into a multidisciplinary, internationally active business line spanning airborne, ground, borehole, UAV, and satellite-based technologies.

 

Tanya brings a rare combination of technical expertise and commercial leadership, overseeing projects from early-stage concept and survey design through to acquisition, processing, interpretation, and final delivery. She has led complex programs across North America, Africa, the Middle East, and South America, managing logistics, risk, financial performance, and client engagement in challenging operating environments.

 

In addition to her project and operational leadership, Tanya plays a key role in corporate strategy, proposal development, and the formation of strategic partnerships with clients, contractors, and technology providers. She is particularly passionate about building high-performing teams, developing future leaders, and implementing scalable systems that support sustainable growth.

 

Tanya holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology, a dual-major B.Sc. in Geology and Physics, and is currently completing her MBA. Her combined technical and business background allows her to bridge the gap between data, decision-making, and exploration success for Axiom’s clients worldwide.
