Paul is a professional geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). Paul received both a B.Sc. in Physical Geography and a A.C.Sc. in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan.
Mr. Burry has been an active exploration geologist for 18 years, his focus has been on unconformity-related uranium mineralization, in and around the Athabasca Basin.
Paul spent the bulk of his career working for Denison Mines Corp. and was part of the exploration team that discovered the Phoenix unconformity (2008), Gryphon basement (2014) and Huskie basement (2017) deposits. More recently, Mr. Burry was responsible for the Q1-2023 discovery of perched uranium mineralization on the Denison/CanAlaska joint venture Moon South Project. Mr. Burry was also integral to the successful completion of advanced ISR test drilling on Denison’s advance-stage projects.
Paul has been involved with every facet of mineral exploration from greenfield project development compilations to advance-stage resource definition drilling. Through his years of service at Denison, Mr. Burry gained significant experience in radiation safety, radiation protection plan development, and the cleanup and monitoring of contaminated sites.
Paul is happily married; he and spouse Tanya share two young daughters and a dog.
Paul was born and raised in Saskatchewan and is proud of his contributions to the long-term success of the province’s mineral exploration industry.
