Melissa attained a Master of Business Administration (Leadership in Social Enterprise specialization) from the University of Fredericton and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work (Leadership in Human Services specialization) from the University of Calgary. She has a history leading SME’s overseas and in Canada and over a decade of experience working in the public sector within a diversity of functions.
Melissa’s areas of expertise range across public, private, and voluntary sectors for strategic planning, community and organizational engagement, systems thinking & organization design, grant writing, program and education development and research. She has worked closely to support Indigenous relations and Truth & Reconciliation commitments within southern Alberta for the last five years. Melissa’s unique experience and education support corporate strategies for CSR & ESG to align business operations and supply chains.
