Brent is a Geological Consultant working in international Exploration and Mining communities to provide senior geological expertise and project management experience including Due Diligence studies, drilling and exploration programs, and integration of project geoscience specialist investigations. His career accomplishments include successful execution of multi-disciplinary, multi-year, multi-million-dollar exploration programs for mineral resource delineation and evaluation and reporting since 1995.
Brent holds a B.Sc. (Hon.) in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a professionally accredited mineral exploration and evaluation Geologist (Pr.Sci.Nat. (Geology) and MGSSA in Africa), and a P.Geo. reinstatement in preparation for returning to Practise in Saskatchewan.
Brent has 32 years of diverse domestic and international mineral exploration experience in the field, as well as in executive management positions. These positions have included: CEO and President of Great Western Diamonds Corporation; Vice President-Exploration for Vaaldiam (Brazil); Director of International Exploration for Great Western Minerals Group (Canada); and Chief Geologist/Technical Advisor for Kensington Resources (Canada), Steenkampskraal Monazite Mine, and Velvet Mountain Aggregates, the latter two both of the Western Cape, RSA.
Mr. Jellicoe currently is the International Exploration Manager for Axiom Africa, a branch of Axiom Exploration Group. He is a recognized Qualified/Competent Person for diamond, Rare Earth Element exploration, and granite-related intrusive rare metal (Ta, Nb, W, Be, REE) deposits. Overarching these specific commodities, Brent is highly skilled in terms of utilizing CIM Best Practices in exploration project design and implementation including resource evaluation drilling, sampling, and data collection programs, as well as code-compliant techno-economic reporting (NI43-101 and JORC) at the Conceptual, Preliminary Economic Assessment, Pre-feasibility, and Feasibility levels.
Brent started his career in geological consulting in 1992 for North Rim Exploration in Saskatoon and has since split his time between corporate positions and independent consulting in Canada, Russia, Brazil, and Africa. Most of Mr Jellicoe’s work since 2011 was focused on provision of long-term, multi-commodity exploration & evaluation technical consulting primarily in Southern- and Central Africa including South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Uganda, the DRC, and Angola, but also extending to Australia and Brazil for Due Diligence reports for global mining consultants, Hatch Engineering and Behr Dolbear International, and consistently expanding work in pegmatite & carbonatite REEs, lithium, gold, copper, chromite, vanadium, titanium, and granite aggregates.
