Dawn Black is a Senior Geologist and registered Professional Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat) with over two decades of experience across the mining, exploration, and public geoscience sectors. Her career spans grassroots exploration through advanced-stage scientific investigations. She has led multidisciplinary technical programs from concept through execution and reporting, with extensive experience in drill program design and supervision, geological mapping, geochemical and petrographic interpretation, GIS database management, remote sensing analyses, geotechnical investigations, comprehensive technical reporting across regulatory compliance, mineral potential and due diligence assessments, hazard and risk evaluations, and QA/QC implementation.
She holds an MSc in Geology, where her research focused on the stratigraphic characterization of the Collingham Formation in the context of shale gas. Her work incorporated detailed lithological, petrographic, mineralogical, petrophysical, and geochemical analyses to evaluate caprock suitability and basin-scale geological processes.
