Melissa Engdahl is the Vice President of Operations & Community Relations at Axiom Exploration Group, where she leads operational strategy, governance, and organizational alignment across domestic and international business lines. Melissa brings over 20 years of experience across public, private, and non-profit sectors, with a focus on translating strategy into execution. Her work centers on organizational design, operational planning, and building scalable systems that support performance, accountability, and growth. Prior to Axiom, Melissa held senior roles within municipal government, where she led corporate strategy initiatives including equity, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, and complex stakeholder engagement. She has extensive experience advising senior leadership and elected officials, and leading cross-functional initiatives that require alignment across diverse interests and systems. At Axiom, Melissa plays a key role in operational integration, international expansion planning, and aligning corporate strategy with execution. She has led the teams responsible for the development of core operational systems, including SHEQ, PMIS implementation, and governance frameworks, to support scalable growth and increasing project complexity. She also supports Indigenous relations and ESG initiatives, ensuring these are meaningfully embedded within business operations and decision-making. Melissa holds a Master of Business Administration (Leadership in Social Enterprise) from the University of Fredericton and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work (Leadership specialization) from the University of Calgary.
